Scholarships
HCRTA awards scholarshipsto young men and women who are pursuing a degree in education.
The candidates are screened by the Cincinnati Scholarship Foundation(GSF). Our scholarship committee in turns selects the applicants(s) and monies are given
them through GSF. The initial endowment of funds needs to be replenished.
HCRTA members, we need your help!
At our August Executive Committee Meeting, The HCRTA Board authorized and named a committee to conduct three raffles to raise monies for our scholarships. The Raffles will be held in September, December, and March at The HCRTA luncheons. All proceeds from the raffles will go to our Scholarship Fund.
HCRTA Members, We Need Your Help. Here's How You Can Participate:
1. Donate items for the raffles. Items should be new or handmade and valued at $30.00 (minimum)
2. Purchase tickets for the raffle. Tickets will sell for $1 each or 6 for $5
3. You may bring items to the September luncheon meeting or contact a member of the committee to make arrangements for a donation.
Lastly, not a fan of raffles(?), consider a legacy gift in your will to "pay it forward", to help a deserving student become a teacher. The HCRTA Board, thanks you for helping us to increase our scholarship fund.
